Playa De Fanabe is located just a few steps away from El Duque Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by our superior one bed apartment, it was so spacious. They are still available in our Buffet Restaurant and Snack Bar. Good food choices at breakfast and dinner, staff very friendly and hard working. room was a good size however there is no Aircon but there is a large ceiling fan which does keep you cool but this is very nosey so we couldnt sleep with this on, there wasn't one in the bedroom which was like sleeping in a sauna so if coming in the summer months I would recommend hiring a fan from reception. The only negative - pool tiles are coming off the bottom of the pool. If we stayed again I would probably opt for a superior room as it was quite hot at night. The whole place is very very tired, broken tiles everywhere but most concerningly on the stairs, bathroom too with grout and seals missing. Instead we had to take baths but the hot water came out of the tap with a yellow tinge to it so we had to have cool baths which we didnt mind too much as I was extremely sunburned but wouldve liked the option for a shower or even a heated bath. My sister, nephew & I booked this holiday last minute & got a really reasonable deal with Jet2 so based on the price we had expectations of a cheap & cheerful relaxing all inclusive holiday in a nice resort & nice hotel.
