These can both be factors in your tentsite selection. The floor space is a very cozy 18.3 square feet, but the vestibule is large enough to keep your pack and shoes out of the weather. Like other tarp style tents, the strategy is to stake out the corners, pop in the trekking poles support, and tension the guy lines (an easy task with the Aeon since there is a pitchloc adjuster on each line).

Unlike Silnylon, it doesn't stretch and sag when it gets wet, so you won't have to get up and tighten guy lines and readjust your tent. The Tarptent models that have these struts can be impossible to pack horizontally into narrow backpacks because they have a fixed length thats wider than the pack bag. Best of all is sleeping with my head and feet not rubbing against the ceiling. While this is less aerodynamic, it provides more usable storage space and makes it much easier to get in and out of the tent. There is plenty of sleeping space for me, and I have space from my head to waist on each side to lay items I dont want to leave in my pack. Just used the corners and the one at the peak and added a line to the rear peak. I just got a second-hand pro trail and can't figure out which pole to get for the rear. You'll be very close to the damp sides, and heavy rain, a poor pitch, or snow accumulation will make the sides touch. That will help you decide if the ProTrail Li is as right for you as it is for me. This is an issue with any non-free standing tent, and Tarptent makes things easier with pitchloc adjusters on every guy line. I have found that invariably, rain will collect at the seam where the wall and mesh are sewn, then the water will pool on the mesh, and from there its a quick trip into the bathtub. Love em both. I always had mine up before my two buddies that carried a notch li and an Altaplex. Both are easy to get good pitches with, but the aeon is a little more particular, and has less literal room for error.
I had light wind blowing all night during my test run, so no condensation during cool rain. At night, the closed vestibule is big enough for my pack and shoes. I like having short guy lines, which greatly reduces tripping hazards. Its included on the silnylon version to counter sag. I used Tyvek foot print once. AFAICT, though, if you dint need the "freestanding" ability of the DR, the stratospire seems better in every meaningful way. I love to make hot tea in a tent when its raining. Have you visited Tarptent site since you purchased your model? I found that setup does take practice before it gets foolproof and then its extremely easy and quick.
