Who would've thought smelling like spilled gasoline was what the doctor ordered?! Two of the most offensive perfumes in the world for people anosmic to ISO E. This is one powerful fragrance. Contrary to popular belief, you do NOT need shredded beef jerky big league chew muscles to pull this off. The inside of a lawnmower in July. A total classic. To be honest, even after all those years being cloned and copied, nothing really comes very close to it! I was a teenager back then and i loved this aroma, but i guess it was for a more mature wearer. Longevity?

However, one thing that I do retain from my initial review here is that I do not feel the gasoline reference at all. The item you've selected was not added to your cart. This fragrance makes me want to put on a leather biker jacket, drink a shot of whiskey, and slam the shot glass down hard. I guess its ok if ur into that type of scent. Just be aware that you might really repulse somebody who is anosmic. all i get is gas from this. I'd imagine James Bond wearing this. At first I found it too spicy and aggressive but when it dries down it has a warm, whiskey-like sweetness that's very pleasant.
I'll enjoy this one till the last drop.
Its a classic. I ended up ordering a 100ml from a discounter. Fahrenheit! IMO the best male designer fragrance ever created. We try our best to make the image match the product we have in stock. People are getting gasoline and leather from THIS?! Definitely masculin, unfortunatly the smell litterally reminds me of melting tin with a soldering iron, a little bit of oil lubricant but toned down a bit with an aquatic note. Alright, there's already a host of reviews for this fragrance, but as I don't see any mentioning one note I find especially prominent, I'll add yet another. Has suffered a nit from reformulations and is perhaps a victim of its own success as so many peole know the smell making it less attractive to wear. Something went wrong. First smelled this about 94/95. Fahrenheit is ok, nothing special, to me anyway. Then, that tanginess mixes harmoniously with the green and slightly floral facet of french violet. My wife hates it gets rather annoyed when I wear it, I kid you not. The smell of petrol and leather is real with this one. I can't believe how timeless this one is. Though it is not exactly a summer beach fragrance and is not incredibly versatile. Very strong and long lasting. If you go more than one spray people will know you are coming before you arrive.
I don't understand the negative comments . The off-putting gasoline smell only lasts in the opening. What a vision. Hence, I'm left wondering how many people actually like the gasoline note, or who are just here to help promote the interests of perfumers. The old stuff was actually a very fresh and invigorating type scent.. 
As the initial floral overtones subsided, the scent also started to remind me about something or some place. I definitely want this to be part of my collection. Instead I was getting more of a floral musky scent.
Dirty, musky, floral, green it's all of these. Also what the Parfum is like, with its vanilla sweetness. Being a teenager I thought she was mad and embarrassing, until she sprayed it onto my wrist and then I realised why her cheeks were flushed. Smells like a male flight attendant I walked past once. It is a scent for men, not boys. Being honest, it is a bit polarising and I think it would take a certain amount of courage to wear it in public settings in 2021.
I like it and it's similar to fahrenheit perfume, but the perfume is a LOT better imo. Also look for older tubes of the SHOWER GEL as they do retain the original recipe. I now buy this when I can from subscription services and in samples to wear for myself. I remember distinctly when this was a new release. Forget it. Layering this with Bvlgari Black so I smell like gasoline and rubber tires.

Normally, you wouldn't want to smell gasoline but it's also weirdly captivating and you want to smell glimpses of this even though something in your brain tells you not to.
The jasmine in particular gives it this airy, ozonic vibe.

Just bought this and I love it! I got 2 compliments. Powerful and masculine opening that uppercuts you harder than Drago did Apollo. . Very much opens like gasoline. Is polarising so test it out first. Yowza! Fortunately, it dies down after about 30 minutes paving the way for a lovely smooth leather drydown for the remaining life of the fragrance. Blind buy from target on clearance! Best price and brilliant service. I wish I could find more scents with that gasoline goodness it seems only small niche houses will even touch that note. After almost a year collecting dust in drawer i pullled Fahrenheit out and wore it to work today. moment of a new smell but it's chilling. It used to be a lot stronger in the nineties (like all scents), but it is still very potent. So when I managed to save enough money and buy a gorgeous heavy woolen jacket, I was more than happy to take a long walk downtown and enjoy its comfort, warmth and quality. When it came out at the time I found it insignificant, soulless and characterless, something that smells good but you have to empty half the bottle to get a wake, in short . for those with a very nose. This is the most masculine fragrance I have ever come across in my life holy damn. Long live the king! It becomes more enjoyable. 9/10. I got a tester out of curiosity as its been around for so long and has never really been cheapened by Dior like so many from that time, like Obsession for example, which is now just a synthetic shadow of what it used to be. A tall, dark stranger. Mid is sharp new car interiors/leathery/violet, 80s vibes. But personally, I find it rather odd or fetishistic. The peculiar blend of top and middle notes seem to induce a "gasoline" odor for the first hour or two. Once its fully dry you get leather and woods and its an amazing combination. The scent is a classic and will still be in 100 years from now. My main signature scent in the 90s and has some major scent associations for me. They have figured it out finally! The old formula had something nostalgic about it. People refer to it as unisex, but I don't think that's accurate; in my opinion, this is a brilliant men's smell.
In fact when it was popular hardly anyone used the term "gasoline" to describe it. I didnt even know how to wear cologne then, hardly do now tbh.
It is easily the strangest designer release Ive personally smelled. I guess I had been imagining something completely different, after reading reviews and comments here. A classic, one of the best and most unique fragrances to datethat opening gas smell grows on you but the magic happens in the mid and dry down, just incredible with hints of floral but still very masculinea good dose of masculine is what we need to put back out there for these younger generations imo. Bought this fragrance yesterday. Incomparable and unique.
Although made for men, we were directed to market the fragrance as unisex at a time when the term "unisex" only applied to hair salons. A unique composition in 1988 for Men by Christian Dior. From the moment you smell it, you can know. One of my top 3 fragrances ever. My girlfriend has covid and she can smell it so it's a good'en! am i the only one that gets a "pickle juice" smell from this when first applied????
A few years ago, my nose was quite unexperienced, and all I could smell was the infamous gasoline accord, and I sold my bottle. I don't generally play favorites, but like Sinatra and his Jack Daniels, I intend to be buried with a bottle of Fahrenheit.
Yea, it has a gasoline vibe or "wait what, is that good or not?" Wore it when we went out to celebrate a buddies bday, I was sitting at the table and a girl walked by and so OH! You can simply take the twink with confidence approach, which has allowed me to collect over 3 different compliments on this classic frag. That was years ago. It smells like the inside of a church or a drawer that has been filled with spices and a tiny bit of incense. A blast of violet and lily-of-the-valley, chamomile and cedar, shot through with sunlight and leafy green, baked earth and creosote, all on a grey bed of pebble-smooth musk. I got more compliments from both men and women from wearing this scent than anything else and I still wear it and still get compliments.
Might be the best of the best? | It needs elements amped up a bit to me. All the fragrances of that era were really strong, but that was of the charts, literally a room filler. Someone was wearing it then and I remember thinking that I loved this scent and that this is how I would want to smell when I grew up! To me, this smells like an extremely pleasant, natural body scent. The Dior Fahrenheit Cologne follows, therefore, the same olfactory line keeping that recognizable temperament. If you are fit for it, you will be rewarded. This one is a masterpiece I just hope it stays and doesnt get discontinued like other amazing fragrances. I bought this and sprayed too much and 2 hours after my neighbour was up a ladder and as I was at the bottom holding the ladder he could still smell it to the point where it was hurting his nose. Into the shower he goes using the freshest body gel, throws on a new white t and jeans before he takes off in his mustang with steaming hot leather seats. It's very masculine and due to its powerhouse vibes probably safer for nighttime in cooler temps, but it could be worn in the daytime if used sparingly. Its strong, Leathery, and Spicy, with Complex notes. There's a reason Dior keeps selling this :-) I have a 2021 bottle and i am glad to report that longivity and sillage are great.. projection is good. Although they do not smell the same, Farenheit is in the same genre as Pegasus. The last one was yesterday in a bar, from the bartender who told me she kept walking past me just to smell me around six hours after applying the EDT. It honestly smells like nothing else on this world - sure, you can compare it to gasoline, grease, leather seat but these are just similarities of particular notes, glares of a bigger whole. Acqua Di Gio? If I spray on my hair, 8 hours of projection annd stays on my hair for more than 12 hours Leather, definitely present present as inside a tannery or an old west leather goods store.
