We decided to take the "fixed" menu for 30 and we were really satisfied, I recommend the apple crumblee, really good Highly recommended if you are in the area. Views were really nice for out door dining, brown bread was tops and food was absolutely delish!! parking is quite limited though. SM.12 The food was fantastic and the service was just as good. Not as good as the old days staff fantastic I had the seafood platter it was very poor quality. We found this out from a member of staff who told us with pride. The food is top notch and overall a lovely place to be. Do not book early. The food was amazing, the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere along with great views of Kinsale harbour. They were very accommodating. Great food.. Had the 3 course early bird menu for 29 and the steak was really good. Back round music was lovely Absolutely excellent. Good restaurant that prepared a very nice vegan meal upon request. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Some excellent views.itnwas crowded and a bit understaffed. Food came out quick & was perfectly cooked & delicious. Their classic creme brulee with seasonal fruit and a tuille biscuit is superb and they also have a great cheese board. Frommer's experts recommend Man Friday, as they granted it 3 stars. Apart from their beautiful seafood they do cracking sirloin and fillet steaks which you can have plain or au Poivre or with Bearnaise sauce or Bourguignonne sauce. It's a beautiful drive from Cork and if it's nice out sitting on the cover patio with a spectacular view is perfect! One of the best restaurants in Kinsale. Very distinct entrance makes it feel like an occasion from the outset.

Cinema and selected restaurants are open later. Fresh and delicious. We felt safe as well ,in regards to the covid restictions. An excellent combination for a nice evening. Surroundings /decor, Had a few things from the takeaway menu, the burgers are delicious, the Shanghai wings are beautiful and the truffle mayo . I had a beer, which was also really good. As well as that he comes in every day and bakes the bread, makes the sauces and the ice-cream etc for the restaurant. Other services include: Weekly Farmers Market, Free Style Advisor Service, Drop in Creche, Free Parking and Direct Bus Routes. Loved it.

The food is excellent and the standards are the same today after all those years now problem in recommending for the best meal in Kinsale Co Cork . Nice place. SM.1 Staff were amazing The early bird was well worth it. Ate here before several times and food always top notch. Cork Plenty of space, great background music and atmosphere. It is now opening for lunch as well as dinner, with a menu of lighter salads and open sandwiches, as well as burgers beef and Hegartys Cheddar, as well as a calamari version with roast garlic aioli, jalapenos and rocket, served during the day, alongside some Man Friday customer favourites.
The meat eaters have not been forgotten either with great produce well prepared.. Good wide ranging wine list. Service was very very slow and it was only a Monday so mot busy. They serve it either simply grilled on the bone, or as a classic sole Colbert, filletted, lightly dusted, fried and served with parsley butter and lemon. We were greeted politely on arrival and shown to our table with fantastic views of Kinsale harbour. You can follow up, if you have room, with maybe flourless chocolate torte with West Cork cream and salted caramel, or sticky toffee pudding with vanilla icecream. Lovely spot, brilliant views. If you are not into fish there is deep fried Brie with plum and Port sauce or maybe savourty mushrooms stuffed with a spiced lamb filling, pickled cucumber and an organic leaf salad. It was cooked to perfection. My favourite restaurant in the world. It was my 1st night out in 2 years so was very much looking forward to meet my 4 friends. To try tasty crme brle, ice cream and apple crumble is a truly good idea. We enjoyed every morsel of our meal. Food absolutely fabulous and jam packed of flavour. Absolutely beautiful location with a super new addition to increase space. It is a pity as it was our last memory of the restaurant so we left on a bit of a bitter note. Nagyon j. Quality of food consistently excellent. Great food and service in a beautiful location with a lovely view.. Beautiful restaurant overlooking kinsale Bay, top class food and friendly staff. SM.2 Scampi comes with tartare sauce; hot oysters are poached in their own juices in a beurre blanc sauce; smoked salmon rolls are stuffed with prawns. Incredible food and excellent service. Followed by the sticky toffee pudding which was just as amazing as I'd hoped. Hands down the best meal I've had in Ireland, quite possibly the best meal I've EVER had! Fabulous setting - what views! Food was lovely but one member of staff really let the place down, if you're going I hope you don't have her waiting on you, One of the best restaurants I've been to with amazing food and super staff, Had Sunday lunch in Man Friday's - really nice chowder but service was on the slow side. Our experience was well worth the money. Well worth 5 stars.
A very nice place to be. Without any doubt Man Friday was a fantastic place to eat. Man Friday may please you with good oysters, hake and belly pork. Staff were busy but still amazing and attentive. The room is freezing in the winter. This place has good reviews, this means that they treat their customers well and youll feel great with their services, recommended 100%! As usual the food was excellent. Service was excellent and wait staff were so courteous and helpful!! Highly recommend. Strongly recommended. A warm welcome, a warmer atmosphere and a wonderful night all round.
At this restaurant, you will be offered Irish cuisine. Excellent wine. The food was good, perhaps a few steaks over cooked but perhaps because of being a large order. Amazing!! EXCELLENT dinner!! SM.6 The entrance was something else and we were made very welcome when we got there. Service was good. Everything was perfectly cooked and memorably delicious. Children menu was quite big! Excellent food if not the best in Kinsale. Obviously the food is first class. Close to the best steak I've ever had. Daniel Horgan, who has an impressive list of London restaurants on his CV, has taken over the kitchen at Man Friday in Kinsale. Reservation a good idea.

I can understand the difference in standard from one night to the next - change of chef and so on - but customers pay the same money, be it good chef or bad chef. Lovely views of the harbour. He spent a year at Scott's of Mayfair and 18 months with Skye Gyngell at Petersham Nurseries, before moving on to St John and then Nopi.
Couldn't recommend it enough, Lovely food friendly staff and good atmosphere. Early bird is good value. Oh and the views are just ok ;).

Highly recommend this place. We went in on a very busy Thursday. . Good food. Probably the best meal I had in Kinsale. Back in Co Cork now for 18 months, he has opened Eden Caf in Dwyers Electrical at Forge Hill, near Cork airport, as well as taking over the reins at Man Friday. Service was not great for a very large group that i brought there, nobody checked on our table during courses, had to ask constantly for service. Amazing service and atmosphere. Go therethat's an order. I even forgot my phone and was so relieved to find they were minding it for me until I came back. It's about a 10 minute walk, uphill from the tourist office or get a taxi. Enjoyed a very good meal with friends. Over-hyped IMO. It was taken over in 1978 by Philip and Joss Horgan who ran a tight ship in the most welcoming and hospitabl way. Was a bit empty because of the current situation but would definitely go back when it's busier again. Can't beat the location either. Pricing ok too. No complaints at all. Every single dish (seriously) Be sure to try the lamb. Philip you have a fab restaurant, great food and paintings of which I would love to have brought 6 of them home with me. We'll definitely be back again. Seafood is the way to go here. Easily one of the top restaurants in Kinsale. Quality of meat, quantity of sides, steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare). I have been dining here on and off over 30 years and always got great meals with great flavours and very friendly staff. Fab food and wonderful atmosphere!! I have had over the years cracking sole on the bone which for me is the King of Fish. A helyiek nagyon szeretik. The food was great, and there was a lovely festive ambiance. Happy memories of Man Friday's over the years. Felt fancy yet cozy. Good whisky selection, beer is fresh.
